I’ve gotten the honor of capturing Leo’s first and second birthday pictures but this time it was a little different. Liz wanted to be in the photos so I knew immediately that I had to capture the special bond that she shared with her son Leo.

That isn’t hard to do with all the beautiful scenery we have to work with in St. Francisville Louisiana. Leo loves to play around and take in all of his surroundings. This time it was on his terms which is completely fine with me. Liz and I gave him the freedom to explore and to enjoy himself while I captured his beautiful personality.

Leo ran, climbed, jumped and even got the chance to chase a few geese during his session. His mom laughed, ran and was a trooper chasing little Leo through all the muddy puddles that came her way!

I was raised by a single mom for years so capturing their relationship was really special to me. I remember the huge role that my mom played in my life. I know that Leo will feel that for years to come. I love capturing these precious moments that only come once a lifetime.
