Family. Friends. Christmas.

It feels like it’s been so long since we’ve been able to gather together with the guidelines in place and have a great celebration. That’s exactly what I was able to be a part of when I got a call to help provide media coverage for a event at the Pointe Marie community called Christmas on Pointe.

Everything you think about Christmas was there and more. There was a art festival with several local artisans selling their hand crafted art. Holiday milkshakes, Food trucks and even a concert and drinks!

What I love about these events at Pointe Marie is that they cater to the whole family. While all this was going on they also had a obstacle course geared for children as well as aerial ropes the kids can climb up supervised by a gymnast for their safety. They even had pictures with Santa and a Santa on Stilts that the kids absolutely adored! All this was going on while classic Christmas movies played on a concert sized screen with audio that matched.

The highlight of the night was the lighting of the Christmas tree. During that time the band played a beautiful rendition of “White Christmas” with the lights out while candles were lit and held by everyone in attendance. This turned the entire field into a beautiful warm glow where you could almost touch the spirit of unity and love shared among all who attended.

It was a special night to say the least. I’m so grateful I was able to be a part of it!
